• Plant Data: Plant names, care notes, locations, watering schedules, and photos of plant tags you choose to store
• Usage Information: Basic analytics about how you use the service to help us improve

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the Florafiles service
• Remember your plant care details and preferences
• Send essential account-related emails (password resets, important updates)
• Analyze and improve our service
• Respond to your support requests

We will never sell your personal information or send you spam emails.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (a PostgreSQL database service). We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

• Encrypted connections (HTTPS/SSL)
• Secure password hashing
• Row-level security policies in our database

However, no system is 100% secure. While we take reasonable precautions to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-Party Services

Florafiles uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase: For hosting, authentication, and data storage
• OpenAI: For analyzing plant tags and providing care recommendations
• Stripe: For payment processing (if you upgrade to a paid plan)

These services have their own privacy policies. When you use Florafiles, you also agree to their terms.

Data Retention & Deletion

You have control over your data:

• You can delete individual plants from your collection at any time
• To delete your entire account and all associated data, please email us at scriptwritlarge@proton.me

We will retain your data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. After account deletion, we may retain some information for legal or operational purposes.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
